Before Nexus Venture Partners, Sameer was a founding team member at Reliance Ventures and was instrumental in all aspects of organization set-up, strategic focus & execution of the firm's mandate to invest in cutting edge technology startups globally.

Prior to Reliance Ventures, Sameer worked with Ericsson as a Solutions Architect focusing on business development of next generation multimedia solutions including IPTV, Mobile TV, SDP & video telephony to telcos. He also served as a member of Ericsson's six-member global "Content & Media" strategy team representing the emerging markets. Prior to Ericsson, Sameer worked with UTStarcom, Inc as a Product Manager - Next Generation Networks handling the South Asia market for solutions such as IPTV, Class 4/5 switching & FTTx solutions. Sameer is credited with doing South Asia's first triple play trial and also closing South Asia's 1st commercial IPTV contract with Airtel. Prior to UTStarcom, Sameer worked with AWB, Inc, in Chicago as a Network Architect, where he was a core part of the team that introduced Motorola's Canopy wireless platform to market while scaling the subscriber base.

Sameer graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago with a BS in Computer Engineering (International Scholar & Founders Scholar)
