Scott Schenkel oversees all aspects of eBay’s finance,analytics, and information technology functions – including controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, audit, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. Scott also works closely with the classifieds business unit reporting to him, via Alessandro Coppo and his team.


Before becoming CFO of eBay, Scott had been Senior Vice President and CFO of eBay Marketplaces for over six years. Scott joined eBay in March 2007 as Vice President FP&A, and was appointed the following year to lead the finance function across the Marketplaces business.


Prior to that, Scott spent over 16 years in finance with General Electric, in a variety of roles around the world. His last position at GE was CFO of GE Healthcare Clinical Systems – a global manufacturer, distributor, and servicer of monitoring, cardiology, and ultrasound equipment and clinical information technology solutions. Previously, Scott was the CFO for GE Medical Information Technologies (Milwaukee, WI); GE Plastics Europe (Holland); and GE Lighting Europe (London and Budapest). Scott spent more than six years with GE’s Corporate Audit Staff working globally within GE on a variety of strategic, M&A integration, financial, and compliance-oriented auditing and consulting engagements. Scott started his career on GE’s Financial Management Program.


He has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University’s Pamplin College of Business.


Scott is an avid baseball fan – when he’s not at his son’s games, he can often be found at AT&T Park watching the San Francisco Giants. He stays close to the StubHub experience by selling his unused season tickets on the best ticket marketplace in the world. In his spare time, Scott loves to ski, mountain bike, and golf – and often trades out his gear by selling on eBay sites.
