Stephanie Burns served as Chief Executive Officer of Dow Corning, a silicone manufacturing company, from 2004 to May 2011, and also served as its Chairman from 2006 to May 2011 and President from 2003 to November 2010. Previously, from 2000 to 2003, Ms. Burns oversaw global operations for Dow Corning as Executive Vice President.

Burns brings significant expertise in scientific research, issues management, science and technology leadership and business management to the Board, as well as skills related to her Ph.D. in organic chemistry. She is the past honorary president of the Society of Chemical Industry and was appointed by President Obama to the President’s Export Council. Burns is a former chair of the American Chemistry Council.

Burns currently serves on the Boards of GlaxoSmithKline plc., HP Inc. and Kellogg Company.
