Thomas M. Flexner is Citigroup's Global Head of Real Estate and a member of Citi's Institutional Clients Group's Management and Executive Committees. He is responsible for directing worldwide commercial real estate activities across Investment Banking, Commercial Mortgage Finance and Real Estate Private Equity.

Prior to joining Citi, Tom was Vice Chairman of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and Chairman of its Global Industries Group. He also founded and managed the Commercial Mortgage and the Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging groups at Bear Stearns.

Tom has worked with various governmental bodies, including the Fed, the U.S. Treasury and the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board to provide insight and advice on addressing the state of the U.S. commercial real estate economy. Tom is on the board of the Real Estate Roundtable and is actively involved in numerous other industry organizations, and has advised a number of endowments on their real estate investing strategies. He is on the Board of Overseers of the Amos Tuck School of Business, a member of the Directors' Council of Rockefeller University, a Trustee of the Museum of the City of New York and of the Dutchess Land Conservancy, and a member of the Trinity Church Vestry in New York.

Tom is a graduate of Rhodes College and the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
