He has been the Chairman of Public Service Company of New Hampshire since April 10, 2012. May served as the Chairman of BEC Energy from 1998 to 1999 and Boston Edison Company from 1994 to 1999. He has been an Independent Director of Bank of America Corporation since April 1, 2004. He has been a Trustee of Northeast Utilities since April 10, 2012. He has been a Director of Western Massachusetts Electric Company since April 10, 2012. He has been a Director of Liberty Mutual Holding Company, Inc. (Alternatively Liberty Mutual Insurance Company) since 2002 and of NSTAR Electric Company since September 27, 1999. He serves as a Director of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Inc., and Boston Edison Co. May has been a Trustee of NSTAR since 1999. He serves as a Trustee of Stonehill College. May served as a Director of Bankboston Corp. and BankBoston NA since 1994. May received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stonehill College and a M.S. in Finance from Bentley College.
