Tom Weil joined WaterHealth International as a General Counsel in 2009, after years of experience consulting on international energy matters and business transactions and advising on major infrastructure projects in numerous countries, including India and the Philippines. Tom spent almost two decades with Skadden Arps as energy group counsel and partner in alternative energy project development and financing in Washington D.C. and Houston, where he advised on the development, financing and construction of power generation plants worldwide. He was named as one of the leading energy lawyers in the United States by the Chambers USA "America's Leading Lawyers for Business 2005.”Tom received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was on the Journal of International Law.He served as a US Navy officer from 1970 to 1975. A rowing history aficionado, he is the author of Beauty and the Boats (River and Rowing Museum, 2005), and he holds several key positions in rowing organizations in the U.S. and England. Tom often teaches “Global Energy Sources, Uses and Issues” at Yale college seminars.
