Tiago Requeijo is the Lead Data Scientist and CTO at FS Card, and has led the development of FS Card's underwriting engine. Before joining FS Card, Tiago was a Director at The Rock Creek Group, a global investment and advisory firm based in Washington, DC. He also spent two years with the Securities and Exchange Commission where he focused on quantitative risk assessment for broker-dealers and worked on rules connected to the Dodd-Frank Act. Prior to his work at the SEC, he was an Associate in the Market Risk Management and Analysis group at Goldman Sachs in New York, working on Value-at-Risk and stress testing for equity products. Tiago is also a faculty member in the Finance Department in the School of Business at George Mason University. He earned a PhD in Mathematics from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from IST in Portugal.
