Toru Nozaki is the President, Strategic Business and Representative Director of Ericsson Japan K.K. as from February 14th, 2014.

He joined Ericsson in 2011 and has since served as Vice President responsible for new business development.



Prior to joining Ericsson, he served as Director of Networks Business at the Japanese entity of Motorola from 1997, where he offered strong executive insight in business operation, marketing and strategic planning.

While working at Motorola, he played an integral role in supplying and deploying a nationwide mobile network four times, and contributed to the development and expansion of the mobile communication network business.



He began his career in the telecommunications industry joining Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd (currently Panasonic Corporation) in 1983. Since then he has held various sales and marketing positions for the international market. While with Matsushita, he established the company’s mobile communication business for Europe and successfully helped to enlarge its business. During his 7 years in U.K. (1988-95), he took an active role in establishing Matsushita’s mobile communication business; also leading the global expansion of its operation from U.K. to Europe and Middle East and Africa.



Nozaki was born in Tokyo in March 1961. He holds a law degree from Waseda University (1983)
