Volkert is Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of AlpInvest Partners. As well as overseeing the firm, he is a member of the Investment Solutions team and of the Investment Committee. He co-founded AlpInvest and has over 20 years of investment experience. Before joining AlpInvest, Volkert was a Partner at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson in New York and a Director at Kleinwort Benson Ltd. Previously, he worked at Dillon Read and Morgan Stanley in London.
