Doug is the Global Managing Partner of Sequoia Capital. He has led Sequoia's global expansion into China, India, and Southeast Asia. Doug works with enterprise and mobile companies, and has been involved with numerous successful companies, including ServiceNow (NOW) and RingCentral (RNG). He is currently on the board of ActionIQ, Medallia, Nubank, Plangrid, Snapdocs, and others.

Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 1988, Doug held sales and sales management positions at Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard and Prime Computer. Douglas has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, an MS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University, and an MS in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
