Michael oversees all finance, tax, legal and regulatory topics as well as all people & organization activities at finleap. He is also responsible for the investment management.

Michael has many years of experience in the corporate M&A and venture capital investment business. Previously, he held the roles of Managing Director and Senior Investment Manager at Holtzbrinck Digital and Digital Science for almost six years, where he was most recently responsible for global strategic investments in the Digital Science & Education segments. During this time he took over numerous board and advisory board positions at leading digital companies and was also interim CEO at myphotobook. At the beginning of his career, he gained experience in various positions at Siemens in corporate finance and investment in Munich and Boston, before assuming responsibility for the CFO division at VC boutique smac partners.

Michael holds an Executive MBA from the Technical University of Munich as well as a Diploma in Business Administration from the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Stuttgart.
