Byron Dorgan is a member of the board of directors at [The Climate Corporation](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/the-climate-corporation#/entity), a technology platform that helps people and businesses manage and adapt to climate change. He serves as an advisor at Seyyer, and has also been co-chairman of government relations practice and senior policy adviser at Arent Fox since January 2011.

Previously, Dorgan served as North Dakota’s tax commissioner, as a democratic senator from North Dakota from 1992 to 2011, and a member of the house from 1981 to 1992. He served in the senate leadership for 16 years, first as assistant democratic floor leader and then as chairman of the Democratic Policy Committee.

Dorgan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
