As Design Partner at Sequoia, James Buckhouse works with founders at every stage as they design their companies, products, cultures, and businesses.

James got his start in film, lensing shots, crafting character arcs, and punching up story for movies, including the Shrek, Madagascar, and Matrix franchises. He regularly lectures on Story-Driven Design at Stanford's Graduate School of Business and d.school.

Prior to joining Sequoia in 2014, James was the Senior Experience Architect at Twitter. He has a B.A. in Visual Art from Brown University.
